Welcome to EZ contest 3 (DOJ ICPC Challenge 1)!
The contest will run for 5 hours on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 13:00 to 18:00. All times are in Korea Standard Time (KST).
Participation
- You may participate using an individual account or a team account with 1–3 members.
- To participate as a team, register your members on the team account and enter the contest using that account. All team submissions and results will be recorded under the team account.
- Each person may belong to only one participating entry. Participating both individually and as a team member, joining multiple teams, or entering again through an alternate account is prohibited.
- Team members may discuss solutions and share code with one another. You must not receive or provide help with solving problems from or to anyone outside your registered team.
- Each team may use at most one computer at a time. Even if you take turns using multiple computers, you must not write code on different computers simultaneously. The system does not enforce this restriction, so please observe this rule yourselves.
- This contest is Unrated and will not affect DOJ ratings.
Scoring and Rankings
- The contest uses the ICPC format. Entries are ranked first by the number of problems solved, then by the lowest total penalty.
- For each solved problem, the penalty is the time elapsed from the start of the contest to the first accepted submission, plus 20 minutes for each incorrect submission made before it.
- Incorrect submissions for unsolved problems do not contribute to the total penalty.
- Problems are presented in random order, rather than in order of difficulty.
- The scoreboard will be available during the contest.
AI and External Resources — Please Read Carefully
- AI use is prohibited for all problems in this contest. This includes not only generating solutions or code, but also using AI to assist with debugging, generating counterexamples, researching information, AI autocomplete, or any other aspect of solving a problem.
- AI may be used to translate problem statements. However, using translation to obtain solution hints, or asking AI to analyze, summarize, or restructure a problem, is not permitted.
- Internet searches, external libraries, and personal or team codebooks prepared before the contest are allowed. However, you must not search for and use solution code or editorials for the contest problems, or ask people outside your team to solve them.
During the Contest
- Until the contest ends, do not publicly share key ideas, solutions, code, counterexamples, or other information that could affect other participants’ problem-solving. Discussions within your team are allowed.
- Please use the question feature on the contest page for questions about problem statements or judging.
- Exploiting vulnerabilities in the judging system, disrupting the service, sending abnormal requests, and manipulating records are prohibited.
- If a rule violation is suspected, the organizers may investigate relevant records. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, measures may include invalidating submissions or results, disqualification, or account restrictions. Serious violations may result in a permanent ban.
We look forward to your participation!
